Diana Schoutsend: Canada's Most Beautiful Latina

Diana Schoutsend is no newcomer to the world of modeling and fashion. This beauty has had the desire to reach into the world of fashion and entertainment from a very young age and has quite an extensive resume.


If she looks a little familiar, its probably because you noticed her winning Miss Latina Canada 2009, on the national television reality series that focused on the Latin-Canadian commuity and the pageant experience. Schoutsend is 1 of 5 children, and raised as a dairy farmer. Yep, that means she knows the value and importance of a hard days work. Visiting her out on her Binbrook, ON farm - you learn very quickly where she has aquired all of her girl next door charm. Standing 5'9", Diana is hardly a wall flower. Her father from Holland and her mother from Honduras put love past culture and language. Warm and friendly, you can be rest assured that you will be welcomed to her home with something good to drink!


Diana previously did extra work, and in fact you can see her in "Mean Girls" with Lindsay Lohan. If you check the scene at the halloween party, the shot of a girl dressed as a cheerleader is indeed Miss Schoutsend. She also had extra roles in both the small and big screen including Ice Princess, Degrassi, Queer as Folk, and Man of Year.


Diana, previously signed with an agency based in Hamilton, Ontario. From there she entered in the Miss World Canada event where she placed in the Top 5 finalists. Taking a shot at the competitive world of pageantry again, she entered a local regional event that was a precursor to the Miss Latina Canada national event. She won that local event hands down, which propelled her to the final event last August where she walked away with the crown -litterally.


"I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to all the new challenges that are coming my way." Says Diana. One of the challenges that she has had to face is that she does not speak Spanish, which she confirms is something that the communtiy here believes very firmly in. "I often here people tell me 'your Miss Latina Canada and you can't speak Spanish?" Requirements for the national event do not state that entrants speak Spanish, but do request that applicants be able to speak 1 of Canada's official languages or 1 of Latin America's official language.
So what is she doing to combat the criticism? She says that she is working with her mother to improve her Spanish language skills. "I see this as another opportunity to gain something for myself. I welcome the challenge." As an added bonus she gets to spend more quality time with her mom.

From here she acts as ambassador for the Latin-Canadian community, and attends both cultural events and business events. She has travelled as a special guest to Florida, and the word on the street is that she is headed to the Dominican Republic to perform some charity work.

2. Oprah Winfrey: The Most Influential Woman in the World

Publisher, emmy award winner, talk show host, philanthropist and worth billions of dollars. The highest paid talk show host in the world ,Oprah Winfrey has dominated airwaves for over 20 years.

Oprah's talk show has had the ability to draw in a ridiculous amount of viewers, making any person who appears on her program an overnight success. With this amount of leverage, Oprah founded her "Oprah's Book Club", which instantly put authours on best sellers lists.

Aside from giving away cars to her entire studio audience, her biggest accomplishment was the building of a luxiourous $40 million all girls school in South Africa, for disadvantaged black youth.




3. Jay Z & Beyonce Knowles: Hollywood's Wealthiest Power Couple

Their combined networth sits at over $100 million. Superstar performing artists Jay Z and Beyonce are not only individually able to bring the house down with their musical talent, but own successful clothing lines that can be seen on almost every teenager in North America.

Aside from incredible endorsement deals for a number of international brands, this Hollywood power couple are considered to Hollywood royalty. Beyonce even performed for current president, Barack Obama's inauguration ball.
